It sounds as though you will continue this moving on in the future. That is great. This will also be an excellent learning tool in cooperative working with people outside of direct contact. I hope you find a partner school!
This is a great project Alan, have you tried going to your AP or P to have them take your project to a board meeting to see what other schools would like to collaborate with you? Or instead of using another school, how about a local engineering company?
It's such a bummer when collaborative partnerships don't work out, but I hope you find someone else to partner with you on this project--collaborative + distance learning is so crucial for our students to learn (as you pointed out earlier on in your project). Congrats on getting the clearance to use Skype, though, and for moving forward with the project!
